Mental Health & Wellness

Dear mama, you can’t pour from an empty cup. The pulse of your house is also based on your mindset and wellness. A big part of becoming a Wholehearted Mom is to actively pursue wellness and mental health.

According to the Nagoski sisters, “Wellness is the freedom to move fluidly through the cycles of being human. Wellness is thus not a state of being; it is a state of action.”

This means that a Wholehearted Mom gives herself permission to complete the stress cycle and turns inward with kindness and compassion. She is calm even when she feels stressed or overwhelmed. And when she isn’t calm she is able to gracefully apologize. Lastly, she strives to do her best but is not sucked in my perfectionism or anxious thoughts/worries. And she is able to recognize when she needs support.
